Calling fellow “neutral” lovers…this is a must-have crochet pattern!

I just finished up making a super quick and easy “mix and match” infinity scarf.  I made it because my wardrobe is lame..but easy (consisting mostly of blacks, greys, tans and browns…jeans, t-shirts, long-t’s and boots.

Initially, I was planning on making my scarf solid black but then I realized that if I just added 3 more colors, I’d have a scarf that would tie together 90% of my closet).  Plus, I love the look of browns, blacks and greys together.

Black boots…check!  Brown boots…check!  Grey tank…check!  Brown t-shirt…check.  Tan ankle boots….check.  Grey t…check!  Tan boot cuffs, check!  (You get the point).

You can literally mix and match any of these colors and the scarf pattern ties them together perfectly (see photos).

Even better, I recently posted this link for a free and easy boot-cuff pattern.  So far, I’ve only completed the tan ones…but I plan on making matching “cuffs” for each color as well.  I feel like I have 8 new outfits.

Enough rambling.  I’m sort of excited about this one…can you tell?

Here’s the link for the boot cuffs pattern that is trending on Pinterest as we speak.

…and here are the instructions for the scarf that I made.

It couldn’t be easier as you only use a foundation chain and half-double crochet.

Please note: I tripled the size (because I like wrap-able scarves vs. cowls) and created some striping.  Mine has 6 rows of black followed by one brown, one grey, one tan and two more brown.  I used a lot of my stash which mostly consists of Vanna’s Choice yarn.

Here’s a close-up.

I also used a 5.5 hook and I did not crochet in the round.  I simply added 2 chains at the end of each row and HDC’d the entire project.   I used black yarn (and a slip stitch to create an infinity scarf.)
